Everything you need to confidently navigate your experience.
1. Starting Your Journey: What is Monrq?
Monrq exists for one simple idea: planning a group trip should feel as good as the trip itself. We built a guided experience that helps everyone in the group — the one organizing, and everyone joining — move through the details with clarity and confidence, together.
Yes. Monrq is free for everyone in the group — the one organizing, and every guest. Planning should feel light, and that includes what it costs you.
We partner with trusted travel providers, like Expedia. When you or your guests book a stay or flight through Monrq, we earn a small commission from that provider — at no extra cost to you. It's how we keep Monrq free for everyone.
No. Monrq gives you the tools to organize your own experience, your own way. We connect you directly with our travel partners — you stay in control the whole time.
2. The Organizer's Guide
It starts on your dashboard. You'll see the option to start planning — from there, a simple guide walks you through the first few details: your experience's name, destination, and dates. Just the basics, to begin.
Once your experience is set up, you'll find your guest list. Add each guest by name and email, whenever you're ready. Each person receives their own simple link — no group chat required, no chasing replies.
This is where you set the shape of the trip. In your Travel Policy settings, you can:
Your guests get a clear direction instead of an open-ended list — and booking feels simple for everyone.
These are yours to fill in however you like. Build a packing list, or a guide to your favorite local spots — restaurants, coffee shops, whatever matters to you. It shows up right on your guests' dashboard, so your recommendations live in one place with everything else.
Yes. Local Recommendations is exactly that space — a place for your own advice, not a booking tool. A restaurant, a coffee shop, a must-see spot. What to Pack works the same way, for tips and reminders.
You set the direction — the travel policies, the suggested stays, the shape of the trip. Your guests book their own travel, with their own payment. That means you're never collecting money or chasing anyone down. You get to focus on the part you actually love: bringing everyone together.
You have a full view of everyone's status — RSVP, stay, flight — all in one place. Each guest sees their own dashboard, with their own tasks and booking details kept private. Once they've joined, they can see who else has confirmed for the trip — just not what anyone else has booked.
You must be at least 18 years old — or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, if that's older — to create a Monrq account. This keeps every account holder able to agree to our Terms of Service, and to our travel partners' booking policies.
3. The Guest's Journey
Welcome. Someone in your group — a friend, family member, or colleague — added you to their private trip, so we could send you the details. That's the only way we received your information. We'll never use it for marketing unless you tell us we can.
No. Your invitation email contains a link made just for you. Click it, and you're in — no sign-up forms, no new passwords. Just your dashboard, ready when you are.
No need to save that first link — it was only for your very first login. Go to the Monrq login page anytime, enter your email, and we'll send you a new one instantly. No password to remember, ever.
Yes. When you book, your payment happens in a secure window hosted by our trusted travel partners. Monrq never sees or stores your full card information — it's a direct, protected transaction with the provider.
Yes, this is a fully official booking. Monrq doesn't process bookings ourselves — when you click book, we redirect you directly to our trusted travel partners, like Expedia for flights and stays. You're booking directly with them, with their protections in place. We just get you there.
Monrq works well for family travel. As the parent or guardian, you add your children as passengers on your own flight or stay booking, when our travel partner prompts you. You'd only send Monrq invitations to the other adults in your group — 18 and up — and they'll do the same for their own families.
When you click Book Now, you'll land on our travel partner's secure booking page, Expedia. Choose your number of travelers — say, 1 Adult and 1 Child — and you'll be asked for each traveler's details there, including your child's. It works just like booking on any major travel site. We just get you straight to the right place.
Yes. When you book through Expedia, you can add multiple rooms to the same reservation right at checkout — no need for a separate transaction.
One person books the room for the group through our travel partner. Once that's done, come back to Monrq and add your roommate using the roommate feature — it'll link you both to the same stay on the dashboard.
You can earn OneKeyCash on your bookings by adding your One Key ID at checkout. Status-based discounts and perks aren't available yet, but they're coming in a future release.
We're here to help. Since your booking is managed directly by our partner, contacting them is often the fastest way to resolve it. Email us at ops@monrq.io, and we'll point you to their direct support info.
4. Our Commitment to Clarity & Trust
No. Recommendations and What to Pack are personal advice from whoever's organizing — helpful suggestions, not rules. You're always free to do your own research, book a different stay, or make your own plans. If you ever see content that's harmful or against our community values, let us know at ops@monrq.io. We reserve the right to remove anything that doesn't align with our standards.
Yes, and we recommend it. We partner with Klook to offer travel insurance right at checkout — a simple way to protect your trip. One thing worth knowing: this policy is a contract directly with the insurance provider, not with Monrq. We just make it simple to add.
This matters to us. We build Monrq to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards — the global benchmark for making sure our design works clearly and well for everyone.
You have the right to request access to your personal data, or its deletion, at any time. We use GDPR — the strictest global standard — as our guide. To make a request, contact us at ops@monrq.io, and we'll process it within 30 days.
Monrq doesn't handle payments or process refunds — we're a redirect platform, not the travel provider. When you book, you're entering a separate contract directly with the provider, and your refund or cancellation is entirely subject to their policy. You'll see a checkbox in our booking flow confirming you understand this before you complete your reservation.
